Delbert Gene Watkins, 76, of Greenwood passed away Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.

Born December 19, 1941 in Calvertville, Indiana the son of Aber and Dorothy (Brown) Watkins.

Gene was a 1959 graduate of Worthington High School, he had lived in Greenwood, Indiana since 1970, he was retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Surviving relatives include a sister, Marilea (Ronald) Demers of Bristol, Connecticut; two nieces, Telsche (Thomas) Belanger of Clermont, Florida; Theresa Royce of Plainville, Connecticut, three great nephews and 2 Great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no public visitation.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday January 12, 2018 at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
