Dean K. Mumma, 82, of Lyons passed away at 7:23 P.M. at Greene County General Hospital in Linton on Wednesday February 4, 2009.
Dean was born April 6, 1926 in Odon, Indiana the son of George C. and Orah (Drake) Mumma.
He was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Linton, Indiana. He was a water well driller for Mumma Brothers Drilling in Lyons, Indiana.
Surviving relatives include five children Dee Phillips of Scipio, Indiana; Richard Mumma and David Mumma both of Lyons, Indiana; Don Mumma of Orion, Illinois and Orah Cullison of Bloomfield, Indiana. Thirteen grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers.
Dean was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Mumma on September 24, 2001, three brothers, two sisters and his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday February 6, 2009 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons and 9am until the hour Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday February 7, 2009 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons with Dr. H. Eugene Riker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, Indiana.
