David H. Ternes, 64, of Bloomfield passed away Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the Lyons Health & Living Center.

Born July 29, 1952 in Henderson, Kentucky the son of Ralph and Mary Louise (Pinson) Ternes.

David graduated from Marquette University and the Masters Program in Indiana University, he was a Computer Program Support Specialist for McKean Defense Group at Crane, he was a member of PentaCon and Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) both in Fort Wayne, Indiana; he was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving relatives include his father, Ralph Ternes of Bloomfield, two sisters; Jane Francis of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; Susan Blethen (Steve) of The Colony, Texas; he has two nephews, Nick Francis, Ryan Francis, one niece, Sarah Blethen and two great nieces.

David was preceded in death by his mother Mary Louise Ternes.

There is no public visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday October 29, 2016 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield at 10:00 A.M. with Father Joseph Erbacher officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson, Kentucky.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers any donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
