David Ray Quakenbush, 64, of Lyons, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis.

Born August 12, 1961 in Vincennes, Indiana, he was the son of Dennis Ray and Martha Ann (Taylor) Quakenbush.

David worked in construction for most of his life. He also worked for Otis Elevator and NSWC Crane in small arms.

Surviving relatives include: his mother, Martha Ann Quakenbush; an uncle, Bill Quakenbush (Linda); aunt, Debbie Hamilton and companion, Jeanie Brill.

He was preceded in death by his father and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Bob Bruner officiating. Interment will follow in Scotland Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Jenkins Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
