David Edward Cross, 55, of Madisonville, Kentucky passed away at 1:12 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born October 22, 1961 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William Mansfield Jr. and Margaret Marie (Furlong) Cross.
He was a mechanical engineer for General Electric and served his country in Operation Desert Storm with the United States Navy.
Surviving relatives include: two sisters, Theresa Sutton (Douglas) of Gettysburg, Ohio and Dorothy Elaine Freeman (Richard) of Westphalia; nieces and nephews, Matt Sutton (Kylie) of Alger, Ohio, Kristy Beckley (Ryan) of Indianapolis; Carrie Summers (Jonathan) of Bicknell, Ricky Freeman (Amber) of Nashville, Tennessee, Seth Freeman (Autumn) of Oaktown and Vanessa Freeman of Indianapolis; Cousins, Dean and Dale Cross both of Sandborn; great nephew, Brandon Spaulding of Indianapolis and several other great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Cross and his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons, with Rev. John Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in Marco cemetery.
Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Greene County Humane Society.
