Dallas Ray Quillen "Buster," 86, of Bloomington, Indiana, died Tuesday at 7:05 in Bloomington. He was a patient at the IU Health Hospice House. He was born October 21, 1929, in Oolitic, Indiana, the son of George and Bertha Pearl Dove Quillen.
He was a Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. While he was in the Air Force he visited many places. He lived with his sister, Kathleen, and her husband, Don, for many years after he got out of the service. He was retired from Wetterau. He is survived by two sisters, Betty Jean Hart from Brownsburg and Kathleen Q. Cullison of Bloomfield; one brother, Kenneth Quillen of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bertha Pearl Dove Quillen, and his younger brother Jackie Dean Quillen and sister Vonda (Bonnie) Quillen.
He will have a military service on Friday, March 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Greene County, Ind. He was a 52-year member of American Legion Post 450 of Solsberry, Ind.
