Cody James Barlow, 23, of Bloomfield, passed away at 6:23 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born June 29, 1990 in Chula Vista, California, he was the son of Tracy James Barlow and Janeil Lynn (Jones) Middlebrooks.
He was currently serving with the Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post 196 in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include: his father, Tracy Barlow (Angela) of Bloomfield; his mother, Janeil Middlebrooks (Charley III) of Crestview, Florida; one son, Traycen James Barlow of Bloomfield; siblings, Kylea Barlow of Bloomfield, Bradon Fulk of Bloomfield, Aryel Ranard of Bloomfield and Sydney and Sport Middlebrooks both of Crestview, Florida; his grandparents, Mike and Rita Barlow of Lenora, Kansas, Glen and Lee Jones of Lenora, Kansas, Don and Sally Markam of Bloomfield, Max Hostettler (Merida Parker) of Bloomfield and Ruth Middlebrooks of Crestview, Florida; his great grandparents, Veda Heisel of Lenora, Kansas, Imogene Terrell of Bloomfield and Ellen Barlow of Culbertson, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kevin Wrigley officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services on Saturday at the Church.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Traycen James Educational Fund in care of Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home.
