Cheryl Rae "Sherry" Quakenbush, 74, of Bloomfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born August 22, 1946 in Linton, she was the daughter of Russell and Eulah Elaine (Ashcraft) Hord.

Sherry was a school teacher for Bloomfield schools retiring in 2007 after 38 years of service. She was a member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church where she sang in the choir. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Tri Kappa.

Surviving relatives include: her husband, Kenneth Quakenbush whom she married June 29, 1968; her sons, Russell Allen Quakenbush (Cathy Ripple) and Aaron Lee Quakenbush (Carla); her sister, Carolyn Carmichael; ten grandchildren, Adam, Rachelle Lechien (Trey), Kent, Madison, Joselyn, Nathan, Brittany, Noel, Stephanie Clary (Alex) and Courtney; three great grandchildren, Harlow, Rowan, and Myah.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no public visitation or Funeral Services. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
