Charles Grant Chambers, 71, of Bloomfield, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was born November 2, 1954 to Ronald Dean Chambers and Artie Orlena (Overman) Chambers.

Charles was a semi-driver for RW Transport for nearly 25 years, served 4 years in the US Army, and attended services at Cincinnati Christian Church when he wasn't on the road; he had a love and excellent skill for writing music.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Kathryn Chambers, maternal grandparents, Patrick and Myrtle Overman, parents, Ronald and Artie Chambers, son, Chad Chambers-Thayer, brother, Ronald Wayne Chambers, and sister Lynda Chambers.

Surviving relatives include his son, C.C Chambers of Jamestown, North Dakota, daughter, Jamie Harris of Henning Minnesota, 7 grandchildren, Donovan, Christian, Tessa, Krista, Elijah, Samairah, Ella, and 5 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother, Larry Chambers of Bloomfield, sisters, Diane (Bill) Phillips of Springville, and Crystal (Larry) Sparks of Owensburg, aunt, Louise (David) Mount of Hanover, and his nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitation will be held from 12-1 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
