Charles G. Biery, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born September 21, 1925 in Vincennes, he was the son of Fred and Della (Jones) Biery.
Charles retired as the Vice Chairman at the Bloomfield State Bank and was a member of the Bloomfield Church of Christ. He served his country in World War II with the United States Navy.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Vera D. Biery whom he married June 6, 1948; three sons, Kent Biery (Leanna) of Bloomington, Randall Biery (Rebecca) of Louisville, Kentucky and Brian Biery (Barbara) of Corydon; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Bernard Ostendorf of Vincennes; one niece and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by one half sister, Virginia Ostendorf and his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Bloomfield Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the Bloomfield Church of Christ. Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
