Carolyn Sue "Ma" Arthur, 73, of Bloomfield, passed away at 11:35 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born September 6, 1943 in Linton, she was the daughter of Charles Brandon and Mary Margaret (Mullens) Hert.

She was an Industrial Truck operator for RCA, Cook, Inc. and Baxter in Bloomington before retiring. She later worked at Yoho's Store in Solsberry. She was a member of the Solsberry United Methodist Church where she was involved in the Willing Workers and the Women's Club.

Surviving relatives include: her husband, Roger Arthur whom she married December 24, 1984; Children; Monica Glaspie of Bloomfield, Troy Rehmel (Traci) of Camby, Shelley Borders of Brazil and Shane Rehmel (Tonia) of Smithville; step children, Rodney Arthur (Renee) of Bedford and Lisa Abel (John) of Bloomfield; Siblings, Allen Hert (Ruth) of Tennessee, Ron Hert of Indianapolis and Ruth Gore of Jasonville; twenty grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Jr. and Billy Joe Hert, one grandchild, two great grandchildren and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Solsberry United Methodist Church, with Rev. Matt Whitacre officiating. Interment will follow in Solsberry cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Solsberry United Methodist Church.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Solsberry United Methodist Church.
