Brenda Gibson, 71, of Newberry, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at her residence.

Born October 10, 1950 in Winchester, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Clarence and Ada (Abner) Lamb.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving relatives include: her husband, Billy Gibson of Newberry; her children, Maria Parsley, Chastity Sheffler, Elizabeth Conklin (Sean), Billy Gibson, Jr. (Joyce), Mary Marie Kinser, Everett Dale Gibson, Charles Louis Gibson (Sara), Terry Lee Gibson, Amber Stone and Laura Sentman; her siblings, Phyllis Golay and Pearl Scurlock; thirty-seven grandchildren and fifty-five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by eight siblings and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Newberry cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
