Bobby Gene Patterson, 74, of Bloomfield, passed away at 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Linton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 8, 1938 in London, Kentucky, he was the son of Virgil and Josephine (Deaton) Patterson.
He was a computer programmer for Blue Cross in Indianapolis and served his country with the United States Air Force.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Janice M. (Moats) Patterson whom he married January 16, 1999; two daughters, Terri Mitchell of Greenwood and Kim Patterson of Indianapolis; one son, Jeffrey Patterson of Indianapolis; stepson, Dale Mason of Alabama; stepdaughter, Shelly Hamilton of Bloomington; two sisters, Jan Hicks and Kay Patterson both of Indianapolis; two brothers, Edward Patterson of Indianapolis and Mike Patterson of Florida; ten grandchildren and five step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Patterson, one son, Joshua Patterson and his parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Calvertville cemetery, with Rev. David Miller officiating. Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be sent to Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.
