Bobby Wayne Groomer, 59, of Solsberry, passed away 1:24 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 7, 1948 in Solsberry, he was the son of Clyde and Iva Jean (Sullivan) Groomer.
He was a fork lift operator for KPT in Bloomfield and also worked for Bloomfield Sales.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Tammy Elaine Grommer of Bloomington; one brother, Clyde (Toad) Groomer of Bloomfield; one sister, Lynda Thornton of Bloomfield; Mother, Iva Jean Groomer of Bloomfield; ex-wife, Frances (Murphy) Newport of Bloomington; six grandchildren and two great, grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, David and Delbert Groomer, one son, Robby Groomer, and one great, grandson, Drake Talbot.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Brother Ed Smith officiating. Interment will be in Hash cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
