Billie Eugene Worman, 85, of Bloomfield, passed away at 9:01 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born August 26, 1926 in Spencer, he was raised by Tom and Freda Porter.
He was a machine operator for Anaconda Wire and Cable in Anderson. He also worked at NSWC Crane and was a self employed farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post 196 Bloomfield, Sons of the American Legion, and the Worthington VFW.
Surviving relatives include: two sons, Kenneth Worman of Logansport and Brent Worman of Bloomfield; two step daughters, Marlene Merrill of Gulfport, Mississippi and Diane Brewer of Bloomfield; one step son, Lee Young of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren and three great, grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Patricia A. (Campbell) Worman on January 1, 1980, one brother, Vernon Porter, one sister, Betty Brewer and his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. J.D. Wampler officiating. Interment will follow in Scotland cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
