Betty G. DeMoss, 80, of Newberry passed away Wednesday December 4, 2013 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born October 28, 1933 in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of Cleve Edward and Violet May (Hill) McFarland.
Betty was a homemaker and attended Heart of his Glory Church in Linton and Scotland Full Gospel Church.
Surviving relatives include her children Fairy (Dave) Mendenhall of Martinsville, Illinois, Robert Edgar DeMoss of Plummer, Jack G. DeMoss, James W. DeMoss and Teresa (Virgil) Jackson all of Newberry, one step son Donald (Betty) DeMoss of Indianapolis, five grandchildren, Brian Burke of Bloomington, Rebecca (Scott) Kirkpatrick of Terre Haute, Rheana (Keith) Shipley of Cleveland, Ohio, Jeremy H. DeMoss of Switz City and Tanya (Nick) Powell of Worthington, she has ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Betty was preceded in death by one grandson Derrick Jackson, two sisters Blanch and Mary Ann, her husband Edgar "Ed" DeMoss on January 10, 1995 and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and 12 noon on Wednesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Ron Helderman & D'Lee Wents officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
