Betty June Davis, 62, of Springville, passed away at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Born April 26, 1954 in Bedford, she was the daughter of James and Mary (Pannel) Way.
She was a bank teller at various banks and ended her career at Crane Credit Union. She was also a member of the AmVets Post 2000 Ladies Auxiliary.
Betty loved her family especially her grandkids whom she loved to talk about. Her main concern and focus in life was her family who will miss her deeply.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Grover D. Davis whom she married May 26, 1972; one daughter, Stacey Skomp (James) of Springville; her siblings, Ina Mack (Dale) of Bedford, Jimmy Way (Brenda) of Bedford, Rose Pruett (Eddie) of Bedford and Mark Way; her grandchildren, Stephen Skomp, Emma Greves and Hayden Skomp; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Blanton and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Tony Stinson officiating. Interment will follow in Oliphant-Hobbieville cemetery in Hobbieville.
Public visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday and 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
