Betty G. Crites, 88, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday October 3, 2012.
Born February 10, 1924 in Linton, Indiana the daughter of Ord and Josephine (Slinkard) LaVanne.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Evangelic United Brethren Church in Linton.
Surviving relatives include her two sons, David G. (Joan) Crites of Columbus, Indiana and Dennis J. (Cheryl) Crites of Bloomfield, one granddaughter Angel (Rich) Walls of Bloomfield, two great granddaughters, Hannah Walls and Ally Walls both of Bloomfield and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Crites, Jr. on December 13, 2005, four sisters, Margaret Matteson, Rita LaVanne, Thelma LaVanne and Erma LaVanne, one brother Joseph LaVanne and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Sunday and 9 A.M. Monday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
