Barbara N. Kirkley, 75, of Bloomfield passed away Saturday June 7, 2014 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington.
Born January 1, 1939 in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of Alfred and Delphia (Arthur) Sparks.
Barbara was a homemaker and an avid reader.
Surviving relatives include her children, Charles E. Kirkley of Loogootee, Michael A. Kirkley of Livingston, Texas, Allan J. Kirkley of Bloomfield and Sandra Mead of Bloomfield, she has eleven grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Emily, Brianna, Courtney, Nick, Brad, Samantha, Leah, Chad and Zachery, seven great grandchildren, Madeline, Jaden, Danity, Madison, Aaliyah, Emily and Triston, she has two brothers, Max Sparks of Kentucky, George Sparks of Worthington and a sister-in-law Jane Sparks of Odon.
She was preceded in death by her husband SGT Robert Kirkley Jr. on June 7, 1965, one sister Mina Carol Tinsley, two brothers, Wilber Sparks, David Sparks and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8pm on Tuesday and 12 noon Wednesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Newark Cemetery.
