Avis Wilkie, 95, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday December 18, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Born March 1, 1929 the daughter of Charlie and Emma (Barge) Jett.

Avis was a homemaker and a member of the Concord General Baptist Church in Calvertville.

Surviving relatives include her 4 daughters, Karen (Nathan) Abrams, Linda (Jeff) Spainhower, Carol (Scott) Byers, Mary (Brian) Kollmeyer; her grandchildren, David (Shawna) Vair, Michael Vair, Nathan Abrams, Jr., Sarah (Danny) Riggins, Lisa (Lynn) Howard, Amy (Joe) Jerrell, Erika (Curt) Bault, Josh Kollmeyer, she has seventeen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Avis was preceded in death by her husband John A. "Tuffy" Wilkie on April 9, 2002, they were married on March 1, 1947; her siblings, Mavis Burch, Carl Jett, Dale Jett and her parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday December 21, 2024 from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. at the Concord General Baptist Church in Calvertville.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the Concord General Baptist Church (2340 E. Calvertville Road, Bloomfield, Indiana 47424) with Dave Sult and Pastor Craig Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Calvertville Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations in Avis's name be given to the Calvertville Cemetery.
