Avis Roberts, 90, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born October 14, 1923 in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of Peter Clark and Etta Jane (Miller) Jackson.
Avis worked at Crane, the Egg Factory in Odon, she ran a gas station and Landmark Ceramics in Owensburg.
Surviving relatives include her two daughters, Rita (Donald) Sharr of Bloomfield and Marilyn (Toby) Fields of Mitchell. She has five grandchildren, Donna (Byron) Zwilling, Alisha (Grant) Burcham, Debra (Justin) Decker, Misty (Matt) Crouch and Marcy (Anthony) Kang, she has seven loving great grandchildren, twin sister Inis Inman of Bloomfield, one brother, Vince Jackson of Springville and several extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norvin Dale Roberts on December 21, 1977, six brothers, 5 sisters, one half sister and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, and 9 A.M. Saturday until the hour of service at the Church.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Pleasant Kentucky Ridge Church with Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Ridge Cemetery.
