Annabel McElroy, 90, of Bloomfield, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born May 1, 1922 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Alfred and Zella J. (Miller) Haywood.
She worked for RCA and was a homemaker. She attended Scotland United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Linda Mauder of Coal City, Joyce Norris of Bloomfield and Debra Hartsburg of Newberry; one son, Max McElroy of Bloomfield; one brother, Earl Haywood of Bloomfield; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. McElroy in 1999, one daughter, Laura Jane Geissler, one granddaughter, Jennifer Geissler, two sisters, Helen Cook and Imogene Criswell and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Scotland cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
