Anna "Ann" Elizabeth Walters, 94, of Bloomfield, passed away at 1:37 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at IU Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born April 20, 1918 in Princeton, she was the daughter of Logan H. and Joy (Shelton) Miller.
She was Co-owner and operator of Walters' Hardware Store in Bloomfield from 1955 to 1971. She was also a homemaker and a member of Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Janet Thomas and her husband Gerry of Bloomfield, three sons, Gene Walters and his wife Mary Ellen of Greensburg, Dean Walters and his wife Patty of Winchester and Jim Walters and his wife Eleanor of Visalia, California; one brother, Charles Miller of Evansville; ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Walters on November 8, 2003, two brothers, Scott Miller and Logan Miller, two sisters, Joy Marie Woods and Delores Miller and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Riley Children's Hospital in care of Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home.
