Anna Louise Sims, 85, of Bloomfield, passed away at 9:00 PM on Friday November 20, 2009 at Glenburn Home in Linton Indiana. Born April 4, 1924 in Linton Indiana, She was the Daughter of Anna (Goodman) Schantz, and Step-Daughter of Leo Schantz.
Louise was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, and served as its Secretary for many years. She was also a member of the philanthropic organization Tri Kappa. Late Husband Robert and Louise were long time residents of Bloomfield, Indiana.
Surviving relatives include two children Rodney Sims of Indianapolis, and Jeff Sims of Bloomfield; two Grandsons Michael Sims of San Antonio, Texas, and Alan Sims of Bloomington; and two Great Granddaughters, Lauren and Kristen Sims of San Antonio, Texas. Also, four Nephews Roland Sims of South Carolina, Tony Schantz and Jimmy Schantz all of Bloomfield, and David Schantz of Lyons; and three Nieces Vicki Burger and Patsy Waggoner of Lyons, and Connie Wood of Orlando, Florida.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Sims in 2001; Grandson Robbie Sims in 1983, and Brother Jim Schantz in 2009.
Open visitation will be Wednesday, November 25th, at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM.
Private family Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM. Friday, November 27, 2009, at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will be in Prairie Chapel cemetery outside of Bloomfield.
