Andy Vest 63, of Bloomfield, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Born November 27, 1956 in Linton, he was the son of William Franklin and Patricia A. (Hardesty) Vest.

He worked for Peabody Coal Company and was the Owner and Operator of Vest Gun Shop in Bloomfield. He attended the Bloomfield Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Jill (Swango) Vest whom he married August 27, 1987; his children, Anthony Vest (Crystal) and Samantha Vest; his grandchildren, Quinn Vest, Lucy Vest, Georgia Durbin, Adam Vest, Trevor Vest and Nathan Jones; one brother, Randy Vest (Tammy); a brother-in-law, Jackie Swango; a niece, Ashlee Swango; his mother-in-law, Vina Swango; his faithful companion, Pearl; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
