It is with deep sorrow to announce the passing of Andrew James Kuchis, who left us on August 5th, 2024 at the age of 31 of Lyons at his residence.
Andrew was born February 7, 1993 in Palos Hills, Illinois, he was the son of Norman Eric Kuchis and Julie Elizabeth (Rauen) Compton.
He recently worked for Berry Global, but his longest occupation was at Griffin Industries which his coworkers quickly became like family to him.
He was a graduate from Lincoln Way North in Frankfort Illinois class of 2011 and went to college at University of Chicago in Illinois to study electrical engineering.
On August 22nd of 2020 he asked Nicole Goldman to be his wife. Their magical day consisted of them going on their annual picnic at Reservoir 26 and trying their luck with fishing. He acted as if he tripped and dropped the actual ring in the pond and while Nicole's back was turned looking for the phony ring he knelt down on one knee with the real one and continued with the proposal. They have been a part of one another's life since August of 2017.
Some of his surviving relatives include: his fiancée, Nicole Goldman; a son, Burk Ward; his unborn child, Dexter; mother, Julie Compton; his father, Norm Kuchis; one sister, Ashley Compton; one step sister, Jeannine Compton; two step brothers, Michael A. Compton and William E. Compton; and his grandmother, Georgia Rauen.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Compton, grandfather, James J. Rauen, grandparents, Raymond and Ruth Kuchis and Jack and Jan Compton.
Andrew was exceptionally talented and had a diverse array of passions. He loved playing guitar, gaming with his son Burk and friends, learning new things, building computers and solving problems. He was someone who lived life to the fullest with a sense of freedom and joy. He valued and treasured every moment he spent with his loved ones.
In honor of Andrew's memory, the family has established a GoFundMe page to support the services of cremation, celebration of life and upcoming future costs for his beloved pregnant fiance' and son(s). Contributions can be made at
