Alvin B. Crowe, 99, of Bloomfield passed away Saturday July 5, 2014 at Greene County General Hospital.
Born July 11, 1914 in Ridgeport, Indiana the son of Burge and Byrd (Bays) Crowe.
Alvin was a laborer and a cattle farmer, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Solsberry American Legion Post #450.
Surviving relatives include his wife Jean M. Crowe of Bloomfield, one brother, Bob Crowe of Solsberry, two sisters, Dorothy Helms of Bloomfield, Donna Fowler of Solsberry and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Russell Crowe, Richard Crowe, two sisters, Marjorie Hudson, Wilma Hostetter and his parents
Friends may call from 4 to 8pm on Tuesday and 1pm Wednesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfiele with Rev. Bob England officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeport Cemetery.
The family wishes any donations be made to the Ridgeport Cemetery in care of Jenkins Funeral Home.
