Taryn Brittany Thacker

April 28, 1980 - April 2, 2022

Taryn Brittany Thacker, 41, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Solsberry on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Born in Bloomington, IN on April 28, 1980 to Greg and Belinda (Arms) Thacker, she was a 1998 graduate of Eastern (Greene) High School and attended St Mary of the Woods College. Taryn was a free and determined spirit. She reveled in the company of family and friends. She was a naturally gifted artist and a voluminous reader, a skilled performer and designer, a literature, film and music afficionado, a musician herself, and a Boston Red Sox fan. Taryn was magic to those who met her and known for a sharp wit and an even sharper tongue. Her life, from the beginning, defied the odds and was nothing short of a miracle. She fought bravely and endured much in 41 years and enjoyed many lives along the way. Many will miss her and none who knew her well will forget her. She was a loving daughter and granddaughter, a loyal sister, and an honest friend. Over the last few years, she most treasured her time as a new aunt, looking forward to teaching and sharing so much with her niece. She is survived by her parents, Greg and Bindy Thacker, brother, Braden Thacker (Cori) and niece, Adeline Thacker, grandfathers, Bill Thacker and Robert Means - aunts, Lisa (Joel) Clark - Tonya (Scott) Clark - Patricia (Richard) Love - Linda (John) Seber, and Lauren Means - uncles, Larry Hoover, Rob (Nedra) Waggoner, and Bobby Means, along with cousins, Zack (Sophi) and Eleanor Clark, Tanner Clark, Katie and Matthew Clark, Ross Waggoner, Staci Seber, Darren Waggoner, Kyle Means, McKenna and Madilyn Means, and Isla Means. She is also survived by many special great aunts, uncles and cousins, along with many dear and loving friends. She was preceded in death by grandmothers, Joan Thacker, Aneida Means and Nancy Arms, and her grandfather, Bill Arms.
