Betty Jane (Branscom) Raab January 25th, 1934 -July 19, 2020. Age 86. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jane Raab, of Littleton Colorado. She passed away Sunday July 19, 2020, at the Littleton Adventist Hospital. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ronald B. Raab, who passed away February 21, 2020. Betty, was born in 1934 in Linton Indiana, to Charles H. and Ruth (Nickerson) Branscom. Betty lived her life in Indiana, Ohio and Colorado. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She enjoyed secretarial careers at US Rubber Co. of Mishawaka, IN, Cuthbertsons of Toledo OH, and South Suburban Church, Littleton CO. Betty was also a Sunday school teacher, homemaker, world traveler and Christian. The Lord was important to Betty and she faithfully prayed for her family and friends over the years. Betty was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Bob, Hoyt, John, and Jim Branscom; and by her youngest son, Jim Raab. Surviving children and family are Gloria J. (Pete) Baldwin of Paris MI, Susan L. (Donald) Hull of Jackson MI, John H. (Mary Kay) Raab of Parker, CO. , and Jim’s wife, Sharon Albrecht of Austin Texas; also twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Other surviving family members are: sister-in-law Gretchen Kyle, And brother in-law and sister in-law Howard and Cindy Raab, of Sylvania Ohio. A graveside service will be held for Betty and Ronald Raab, 10:00 AM, Saturday October 3rd, at Grandview Cemetery, Bloomfield, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Foundation, Aurora Colorado. Ronald B. Raab was born 90 years ago to Leslie and Thelma Raab in Toledo, Ohio. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, he worked for US Rubber Co in Mishawaka, Indiana where he met his wife Betty. They have 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He loved and enjoyed his family very much. His warm smile and sense of humor always made people feel comfortable. In 1965, Ron and family moved to Perrysburg, Ohio and worked for Johns-Manville in Waterville. In 1976, Ron and family moved to Colorado to work in the new Johns-Manville research and development facility. Ron loved traveling and adventure, and was a Boy Scout and Eagle Scout leader, for many years. In retirement, he worked as an engineering consultant for companies in the insulation business. He also worked for the Littleton state and federal preschool head start program and made many friends with parents and children. As a Christian, Ron served his family church as an elder and loved the Lord with all his heart. Ron also enjoyed out of town company, and took great joy to show them around the most popular tourist sites of Colorado. Ronald was preceded in death by a brother Leslie Raab, and son James Edward Raab. Since Ron's death in February, Ronald's wife Betty of 65 years passed on July 19, 2020. Surviving family members are a brother Howard D.( Cindy) Raab of Sylvania OH, and daughters Gloria (Pete) Baldwin of Paris MI., and Susan (Donald) Hull of Jackson MI., and son John H. (Mary Kay) Raab of Parker CO), twelve grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held for Ronald and Betty at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield IN, at 10 A.M. on October 3, 2020. Memorial donations may be made at Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation, Aurora CO.
