Thomas Marshall Bailey, 82, of Bloomfield, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born October 1, 1940 in Little Cincinnati, he was the son of Marshall and Beulah (George) Bailey.

He was an avid golfer and always looked forward to a day on the course with his golfing buddies. He retired in 1996 after 38 years of service as a maintenance supervisor from Westinghouse/ABB. After retirement, he and his wife, Arlene, enjoyed spending a few weeks in Florida every year with other snowbirds from several different states. His many friends and family were a great source of enjoyment to him. Everyone who knew him loved his quirky sense of humor, his positivity, and kind heart. He was in the National Guard and a member of the Antioch Christian Church.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Helen Arlene (Whitaker) Bailey whom he married July 7, 1961; his children, Stacey Robinette (Matt) of Bloomfield and Stephen Bailey (Lori) of Avon; one sister, Lois Bingham of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Bailey Karr (Evan), Taylor Helms (Katie), Ashley Allen and Dustin Bailey; great-grandchildren, Katelynn Allen, Aubrey Allen, Maddox Karr, Walker Karr and the Helms twins who are expected to arrive this year in September.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson-in-law Jimmy Allen.

There will be a Celebration of Life 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Antioch Christian Church. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

The family wishes that any memorial donations be made to the Antioch Christian Church in Tom's name.
