Susan Jo (Floyd) Holtsclaw, 83, of Bloomfield, passed peacefully away at 5:34 am Saturday, September 7, 2024 at her home.

Born September 23, 1940 in Huntingburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Charles Morton and Wilma Ruth (Pickett) Floyd. She taught school for a few years in the 1960's at surrounding Greene County schools and after starting her family she became a homemaker. She was a member of Furnace Christian Church where she married her love Loren on September 3, 1961. She became a member of Antioch Christian Church later in life. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau. She loved caring for her family especially her grandkids and great grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Loren of Bloomfield; two daughters, Julie Boulay (Tim) of Maryland and Sarah Holtsclaw of Bloomfield; two brothers, Stephen Floyd (Truc) of Bloomfield and Jerry Floyd Sr. (Rose) of Virginia; five granddaughters, Katie Stierwalt (Cody), Candice Arford (Jarod), Jackie Boulay, Lauren Boulay and Elizabeth Boulay; one grandson, Stephen Walker; two great grandsons, Caden Jo Vineyard and Lincoln Stierwalt; one great granddaughter, Remy Stierwalt and Baby Arford due April 2025; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Darwin Floyd.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Jack Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 3 to 7 pm on Wednesday and from 10:00 am until the hour of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
