Shirley Ann (Sparks) Pullen, 70, of Bloomfield passed away at 5:00 A.M. on Saturday March 11, 2006 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born March 15, 1935 she was the daughter of Bernard Wade & Mattie (Ammer) Sparks.
She was the Recorder for Greene County for 2 Terms, & served as deputy recorder for 16 years. She was a life long Democrat. She was a precint chairperson & the Treasurer for the Greene County Democratic committe. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bloomfield, the Delta Theta Tau Alumni. She was a 1953 graduate of Bloomfield High School.
Survivers include 1 son Colonel Randy Pullen US Army & his Fiancee Rev. Mary Pitts of Alexandria, Virginia. 1 Daughter Pam & her husband MSGT USAF Ret. Leroy Barnhill of Bloomfield. 2 Grandchildren Megan Barnhill of Evansville, & James Barnhill of Bloomfield. Step Mother Edna Sparks of Bloomfield. 1 Brother-in-law Richard (Wheezer) Richeson of Bloomfield. 1 Step Brother Bill Sparks of Indianapolis. 3 Nieces Bobbie Greves, & Joni Miller both of Bloomfield, & Beverly Noel of Oolitic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister Edna Mae Richeson, 1 stpe sister Sue Sparks Warner.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev Billy Ed Hostettler, & Rev Arlen Pope, & Rev Dave Wilde officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 P.M. to 6 P.M. Sunday & Noon till the hour Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
