Ruth Alene (Montgomery) Hasler of Bloomfield passed away February 16, 2017 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington. She was born in Shoals on August 1, 1932 to Lonzo and Gail (Ross) Montgomery. Ruth graduated from Shoals High School. She married Henry Hasler of Bloomfield on April 26, 1957.

Ruth Retired from Crane N.A.D. in 1987. She was a member of the Mineral United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Mineral Ladies aid and N.A.R.F.E.

Ruth loved to travel with friends and made many trips all over the country. One of the things Ruth was noted for was sending cards for for every occasion. She spent a lot of time visiting the sick and elderly shut ins.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; son, William Hasler and wife Debbie of Bloomfield; daughter, Norma Turner and husband Jack of Mitchell; grandchildren, Brittany (Wyatt) LeGrand of Bloomfield; Derek and fiancé Jane Michael of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Montgomery; two half sisters, Etta Denny and Bernice Survance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Flater cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Mineral United Methodist Church.
