Rita E. Jones, 81, of Bloomfield passed away Friday November 19, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital.
Rita was born February 11, 1929 in Dubois County, Indiana the daughter of John and Mary C. (Woolsey) Brosmer.
Rita was a homemaker and a member of the Navy Wife's Club.
Surviving relatives include two daughters; Cathy Sutherlin (Randy) of Bloomfield and Marsha Martindale (Larry) of Solsberry, one son Steve Jones (Polly) of Terre Haute. Five grandchildren; Kim Walls and Travis Martindale both of Indianapolis, Kyle Martindale and Danielle Sutherlin both of Bloomington and Nick Sutherlin of Bloomfield. Two great grandchildren; Cody Vaughn of New Castle and Alan Martindale of Bloomington, one sister Lucille Geene of Bloomington.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Jones, three brothers Charles Brosmer, twin James Brosmer and Arthur Brosmer, one half sister Lee Kurns and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Sunday November 21, 2010 and 10 A.M. Monday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday November 22, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Byron Williams officiating. A graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. at the Wickliffe Cemetery in Wickliffe, Indiana.
The family wishes any contributions in Rita's name be given to the Greene County Animal Shelter or Eastern Center Township Fire Department.
