Mildred Lorene Deem, 85, of Avon formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Woodland Terrace of Danville.

Born April 12, 1940 to Robert Groomer and Ruth B. (Cook) Groomer Field.

Mildred was an accountant/Bookkeeper for William Deem and Associates in Indianapolis. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Speedway, Indiana.

Surviving relatives include: one grandson, Toby Deem; one great-granddaughter, Jaiden Ruthanne Deem; her step children, Marcia Carson (Daniel) and Michael Deem.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Deem on July 2, 2017, her son, Mark Deem, Daughter, Tina Deem, one brother, Robert Groomer and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Dean Van Slyke officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
