Mary Katherine (Harp) Burcham, Bloomfield, age, 93, died October 13, 2024. She was born February 1, 1931, in Martin County Indiana, to Henry C. and Nellie Faye (Johnson) Harp and a 1949 Bloomfield High School graduate. Mary Katherine married Walter Wayne Burcham on April 24, 1953. Mary K. and Walter W. owned a small farm in rural Bloomfield, IN, known as the Blue Barn Farm. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Churches of God. Mary K was a dedicated homemaker and worked outside of the home as a sales clerk for Sparks Dry Goods, Bloomfield Elementary School Aide, real estate title researcher, and retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane as a Configuration Management Clerk. She is survived by daughter, Fayetta Coulter, son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Beth Burcham, grandchildren Grant (Alisha) Burcham, Abigail (Chance Hurt) Burcham, William (Jennifer Guenin) Coulter, Sara (Clint) McElroy, great grandchildren Eleanor and Ruby McElroy, Henry Burcham-Hurt, and Avis Burcham, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Evalee Page, and son-in-law Richard Coulter. Visitation will be held Wednesday October 16, 5-8 PM and 1 hour prior to the 11 AM funeral service Thursday October 17 at the Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Rockey will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walnut Grove Fellowship Hall. Mary K. was an accomplished seamstress, cook (her pies were a delight), adored her family, and child of God. She will be greatly missed by many.
