Martha Eleanor (McElroy) Ramsey, 97, of Indianapolis formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025 at her residence surrounded by family.

Born March 19, 1928 in Scotland, Indiana, she was the daughter of Edward and Laura (Lester) McElroy.

Martha was a loan officer at Farmers & Mechanics Federal Savings and Loan in Bloomfield. She attended Mineral Church, was a member of Psi Iota Psi sorority, attended Indiana Business school in Bloomington and held a Real Estate License.

Surviving relatives include: her daughters, Janet Sue McIntosh and Connie Elaine Maish (William); one son, Randall Scott Ramsey (Julie); her grandchildren, Michael McIntosh (Amy), Jeff McIntosh (Tina), Jake McIntosh, Monica James (Brian), April Boyd, Parker Ramsey, Luke Ramsey and Malea Ramsey; seventeen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Ramsey on January 5, 2008, sisters, Lola Mowery, Mary Ann Floyd, Ethel Toon, Bertha Mitchell and Lula Allen, her brothers, Herb and Harold McElroy and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Jim Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Mineral Church.
