Larry Thomas Idle, 68, of Bloomfield, passed away at 1:44 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born January 16, 1947 in Lafayette, he was the son of Sherman and Viola (Byers) Idle.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving in Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm. He retired as an LPN from Indiana Home Health Care.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Cathy Idle of Bloomfield; children, Charles Idle (Samantha) of Monroe, Washington, Brooke Smith (Mike) of Grandview and Thomas Idle (Beth) of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Jessica Idle, Cody Idle, Joshua Idle, Eva Smith, Olivia Smith, Isabella Smith and Amelia Smith; five brothers and one sister.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Taylor, four sisters, one brother and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Walnut Grove Church of God, with Rev. Al Rockey officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 hour prior to services Monday at the church.
