John Robert Pegg 76, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born December 31, 1945 in Anderson, Indiana, he was the son of Bob and Betty (Hart) Pegg.

John spent most of his life working as co-owner of Idle Acres Dairy Farm and later worked for Cook Medical. He served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 196 in Bloomfield and attended Mansions in Heaven Church.

Surviving relatives include: his wife Susie Pegg whom he married December of 2012; children, Melissa Frye, John David Pegg (fiancée Tina Johnson) and Jason Pegg (Shauna); one step daughter, Missy Daab (Joe); his grandchildren, Olivia and Owen Frye, Austin Pegg, and Oscar, Annie, Leo and Maxwell Pegg; his siblings, Mary (Doug) Downing, Melinda (Mike) Campbell and Joe (Diana) Pegg; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his children's mother Julie Imel and former son-in-law John Frye.

He was preceded in death by his parents and late wife Sandra Pegg.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
