Jerry Dean Carmichael, 72, of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born February 16, 1952 in Linton, he was the son of Arthur and Betty (Roberts) Carmichael.

Jerry retired from General Electric and was in the National Guard.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Delores Joan Carmichael whom he married March 7, 1987; his children, Kevin Resler (Kathleen), Tony Resler (Lori), Jerry Carmichael Jr. "LJ" (Peggy) and Trina Carmichael-Alderson; two brothers, Donald Carmichael and Jim Bob Carmichael; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Carmichael, stepson, Buddy Resler, a great grandson, Gavin Resler and his parents.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Archie Ellett officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
