James Britton, 83, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday July 18, 2012 at his residence.
Born August 5, 1928 in Solsberry, Indiana the son of Paul and Orpha (Fry) Britton.
James was retired from J.L. Wilson & Warren Bartlett Construction Company. He was a member of the Concord General Baptist Church in Calvertville.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 65 years Nadene (Neill) Britton, they where married on June 8, 1947. His children; Lana Darlene Fuller of Bloomfield, James Darwin Britton of Bloomington, Jeffrey Neil Britton of Mooresville, Danny Roger Britton of Branson, MO; Larry Todd Britton of Plainfield and Lori Dianne Pike of Bradenton, FL. He has nineteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, one brother Raymond and wife Marlene Britton of Solsberry and one sister Norma and husband Bob Doane of Evansville.
James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Gerald Britton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Concord General Baptist Church in Calvertville with Pastor Craig Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Calvertville Cemetery.
