Inis Marie Inman

Inis Marie Inman passed away at her home at Doans, Indiana on August 22, 2016. Inis and her twin sister, Avis, were born on October 14, 1923 near Owensburg at the home of their parents. Etta Jane Miller Jackson and Peter Clark Jackson. Her Parents, big brothers, Roy, Carl, Earl, Ale, Max, Wilbert, and Vince and her doting older sisters, Nancy, Mary, Martha, Amanda, younger sister Minnie Louise and twin and very best friend, Avis preceded her in death. Her faithful sister-in-law Pansy Jackson survives. She married Onas Glenn Inman in 1946 and raised their three children in the home she remained in after his death in 1996. She is survived by her children, Joyce and Rick Johnson, Carol and Ken Birkemeier, and Mike and Jamie Inman. Her surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren are Kevin , Carrie and Hannah Fesler; Stacey, Samantha, Cole and Hunter Deaton; Glenn and Anessa Birkemeier; Kyle, Torrie and Aesop Birkemeier; Alan Birkemeier; and Jim and Joe Inman. She also will be missed by her loving best friends and caregivers, Dixie Gregory and Brandy Pierce. Inis was a member of the Scotland United Methodist Church and Ladies Aid. She enjoyed people, visiting, sewing, gardening and most of all, her family. She was a curious hard working person who encouraged and nurtured everyone. She will be missed by her family which includes a large number of nieces and nephews from several generations. In lieu of flowers Inis' family would be honored if you would send a note or make a visit in her memory to a home bound or nursing home person. She received many cards and visits over the years and celebrated each one. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Bob Bruner officiating. Interment will follow in Scotland Cemetery.
