Esther M. (Richardson) Cecil, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away December 17, 2015 at Prairie Village in Washington.

Born June 20, 1928 in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of John and Frieda (Stone) Richardson.

She was a homemaker and a CNA and caretaker for the elderly. She married Larry Cecil on July 20, 1991. She was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church. She supported various children, christian and veteran organizations. She was a Bloomfield High School graduate class of 1946.

Esther was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and reading. her and her husband, Larry enjoyed being winter Texans and traveled and participated in many activities. Esther enjoyed attending church, reading her bible, and listening to gospel music.

Surviving relatives include: her daughter, Denise Graves of Bloomfield; two sons, Stephen Floyd of Bloomfield and Stuart Floyd of Kent, Washington; grandchildren, CW2 Kelsey Graves of Greenwood and Allison Veatch (Jon) of Bloomfield; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Wesley Veatch; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Ruthie Richardson of Bloomington; sister, Imogene Terrell of Bloomfield; and sister-in-laws, Ruth Richardson of Linton and Wilma Hogan of Trafalgar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Cecil on February 13, 2000, two brothers, James and Eldon Richardson and two sisters, Martha Richardson and Eleanor Justus.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Pastor Bill Talbott officiating. Interment will follow in Scotland cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
