Dorothy Marie Brinson, 87, of Terre Haute, formerly of Lyons, passed away Sunday January 1, 2006 at 8:30 p.m. at Royal Oaks Nursing Home in Terre Haute.
Born June 22, 1918 in Salina, Kansas, she was the daughter of Raymond Sr. and Marjorie (McKinney) Jones.
She was a rivet machine operator for Keller Aluminum in Linton retiring after 17 years of service.
Survivors include:one son, Gary Brinson; four daughters, Sharon and her husband Vic MacDonald of Smith, Alabama, Jeannette and her husband Robert Anthony of North Vernon, Gloria and her husband Don Picou of Owensbrug, and Barbara and her husband Larry Hanna of Terre Haute; four brothers, Paul, Jim, Raymond Jr., and Bill all of Kansas; five sisters, Betty, Pauline, Maxine, Frances, and Barbara all of Kansas; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene Merle Brinson in 1982, and two sisters, Iona and Ruth.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday January 5, 2006 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Lyons, Indiana with Rev. Don Reed officiating. Burial will be in Marco Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
