Donald Glenn Floyd, 76, of Bloomfield, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Garden Villa of Bloomington.

Born August 13, 1942 in Bloomington, he was the son of Glen and Sarah Alice (Wilson) Floyd.

He was a mechanic at Indiana University retiring in 2004. He served his country in the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post#18 in Bloomington.

He married Kathy E. Floyd on July 2, 1966; she passed away on May 13, 2016.

Surviving relatives include: his children, Robin New, Shannon Russell (David "Buck") and Natalie Trosky (Eric); grandchildren, Cody New (Leslie), Mikaela Gilstrap (Courtney), Sierra New and Davis Russell (Whitney); his great grandson, Bennett New; one brother, Joe Wilson; and a sister-in-law, Violet Floyd.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, Kenneth Floyd, two infant brothers and his parents.

A Public graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Solsberry Cemetery, with Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Solsberry Cemetery or the Cincinnati Christian Church.
