Dennis Gene Evans, 65, of Washington passed away Friday July 21, 2006 at 4:25 a.m. in Newberry.
Born July 7, 1941 in Daviess county, he was the son of Floyd G. and Anna Laura (Clark) Evans.
He was an auto mechanic and retired as a roofer for Schriber roofing in Detroit, Michigan. He was a member of Roofers union Local # 149 in Detroit.
Survivors include: one son, Dennis Gerald Evans of Crystal, Michigan; four daughters, Sherry Dallape of Detroit, Brenda Edwards of Falmouth, Kentucky, Lynna Brown of Washington, and Anna Poe of Foster, Kentucky; one sister, Joann Edwards of Washington; his companion, Louise Simmerman of Newberry; 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 4 nieces, and 1 nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Floyd.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
