Daniel Ray Wonder was born in Bloomfield, Indiana on May 30, 1940 to Barton Enos Wonder and Margaret Lamoine Axe; he was married to Rhea Dawn (Seals) Carmichael.
A 1958 graduate of Bloomfield H.S., Dan served in the U.S. Navy, was a plank owner on the USS Conyngham DDG – 17, and always enjoyed spending time with his fellow sailors and veterans. Dan also spent over forty five years in the trucking industry, Dan was a dedicated family man and a member of the Antioch Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Barton Wonder, and his granddaughter Chelsea Nicole Flake.
He is survived by his wife, his siblings Jeffry Wonder of Greenwood, Darlene Fougerousse of Worthington, Michael Wonder of Bloomfield, his children Len Carmichael of Loogootee, Julie (Mason) Flake of Newburgh, Troy (Joyce) Carmichael of Bloomfield, Dana Wonder of Boston, Massachusetts; Darci (Jason Sisk) Nichols of Bloomfield, Kelly Brown of Terre Haute, and thirteen grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to join us for an open house on Saturday October 17, from 1 to 5 P.M. at Dan and Rhea Dawn's home in Bloomfield to celebrate his life.
