Obituary

Curtis Groomer, 88, of Solsberry, passed away at 10:58 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2008 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born February 17, 1920 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Tom and Mollie (Flake)Groomer.
He worked at NAD Crane and retired from Resler Block Plant. He was a Trustee and Lifelong Member of Pleasant Ridge Church, and a member of the Ridgeport Cemetery Board.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 68 years, Maxine (Jones) Groomer of Solsberry; children, Carol Ferguson & husband Tracy of Switz City, Mary Alice Davis & husband Pete of Solsberry, Nancie Lloyd & husband Bill of Bloomfield; grandchildren Roger Leon Arthur of Bedford, Lisa Gaylle Abel of Bloomfield, J.R. Davis of Bloomfield, Indiana, Dallas Todd Parsley of Solsberry, Jackie S. Parsley of Solsberry; Great-grandchildren Sabrina Smith, Nickie Arthur, Terence Arthur, Kayla Barnett, Emily Arthur, Jackie Lee Arthur, Dusty Arthur, Ashley Meek, Peyton Maxwell Davis, Dylan Parsley, Abigael Lynn Parsley, Alexandria Leigh Parsley, Mollie Adelyne Parsley, Olivia & Jarrod James; 9 Great great grandchildren and 1 Brother Everett Groomer of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Elmer, Clyde and kenneth, and 1 great grandson, Jeremy Arthur.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Pleasant Ridge Church in Bloomfield, with Pastor Eugene Helms officiating. Bruial will be in Ridgeport Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home, Bloomfield and from 10 a.m. until the hour Saturday at the Church.
