Carrie G. Vandeventer, 99, of Missoula, MT, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 at the residence of her daughter, Reba Randall in Missoula.
Born February 5, 1909 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Willard and Laura VanSlyke. She was married to Lloyd Edgar Vandeventer who passed away in 1973.
Mrs. Vandeventer was a homemaker and member of the Apostolic Church in Missoula, MT.
Five sons survive her, Dale of Bloomfield, Willard of Bloomington, Jack of Lyons, Russell of Malta, MT., Tom of Fort Collins, CO; one daughter, Reba Randall of Missoula, MT; 18 grandchildren, 30 great, grandchildren, 26 great, great, grandchildren, and 4 great, great, great, grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Edgar Vandeventer, one infant son, Lloyd E., and one daughter, Laura Helms.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the First Pentecostal Church in Bloomfield, with Rev. Ed Smith officiating. Interment will be in Tulip cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
