Betty Joan (Withycombe) Montgomery 73, of Linton, passed away 4:43 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Greene County General Hospital.
Born April 12, 1936 in Greene County, she was the daughter of John Peter and Helen (Carpenter) Rowe.
She retired from the kitchen staff at Lyons Health & Living Center and was a member of the Lyons Assembly of God and TOPS in Linton.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Debbie Sisk (Jack) of Linton and Robin Budny (Joe) of Tennessee; two sons, Ed Withycombe of Pensacola, Florida and John Montgomery (Amanda) of Crawfordsville; one sister, Rosemary Malone (Lee) of Mooresville; her grandchildren, Ryan Withycombe (Jonni), Haylee Budny, Starr Montgomery, and John Lavere Montgomery; great grandchildren, Allyson Withycombe, Nicki Withycombe, and Kyra Withycombe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joy Gardner.
There will be no public visitation. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Assembly of God in Lyons, with Rev. Gerald DeVore officiating. Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Lyons is in charge of arrangements.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Church.
